GCLv1 Appendix

For the purpose of these provisions;

• Agreement: a contractual agreement between the Licensor and Licensee, available linked or included in the page
• Licensor: the copyright owner(s) responsible for the licensing of the Content
• Licensee: the acceptor of the License and user of the Content
• Content: the physical or digital information, material or work (be it scientific, literary or otherwise creative)
• License: the document containing terms of the Agreement and other information

PURPOSE

By agreeing to the terms (available in the document which may be found directly above, or otherwise explicitly linked to or included on this page) of the Agreement, you must also conform to the Licensor's and Your (the Licensee's) governing copyright laws which are mentioned below, any international agreements regulating these and any further policies mentioned by the Licensor (if any). IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY OF THE TERMS STATED, YOU MUST CEASE ANY INTERACTIONS WITH CONTENT BOUND TO THE AGREEMENT.

The License aims to provide global and regional compliance with copyright laws, intellectual property policies and other agreements between extraregional and intraregional legal obligations and mandations. In case whether any of the following are deemed out-of-date, legally invalid or ineffective, the License must be immediately ratified within legally requisitioned timeframes.

APPENDICES

For the purpose of these provisions, related to the License, binding to the Agreement between the Licensor and Licensee;

The License may be used in any international territory, in accordance with applicable laws. In such jurisdictions, the governing laws are as follow, interpretatio legis:

Afghanistan

Law Supporting the Rights of Authors, Composers, Artists and Researchers (Copyright Law): Chapter 2, §5

The original works of authors shall be protected that are fixed (without taking into account the value, quality, purpose or the mode of its expression) in one of the tangible mediums of expression that is known now or means that will be developed later, which are perceived, reproduced or communicated in a different way either directly or with the aid of a device.

Notwithstanding prior/subsequent legislation, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan is a member of the Berne Convention and automatically grants copyright ownership to the author upon the moment of creation. Therefore, no specific alterations to the License shall be required to affixate it and conform it to Afghanistan's laws.

By using the Content in the jurisdiction of Afghanistan, you hereby also corroborate your compliance with Afghanistan's legal framework including, but not limited to: Penal Code, 1976 & Penal Code, 2017 & Cyber Crime Code & related applicable laws.

Albania

Law No. 35/2016 dated 31.03.2016 on Copyright and Related Rights (amended by Law No. 37/2022 dated 14.04.2022): Part I, General Provisions, §1: Object and Purpose of the Law

a) the protection of copyright and other related rights for works of a literary, artistic and scientific nature; b) the protection of rights related to copyright, hereinafter referred to as related rights, such as: the rights of performers in relation to their performances; producers of their phonograms; producers of their first fixations /(recordings) of films; broadcasting organisations in relation to their broadcasts; publishers in relation to their publications; database producers in relation to their databases;

By using the Content in the jurisdiction of Albania, you hereby also corroborate your compliance with Albania's legal framework including, but not limited to: Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania & Cyber Security Law (partially aligned with Directive (EU) no. 2022/2555) & related applicable laws.
